From The Director's Heart
January 26, 2012
It’s hard to imagine we have already turned our calendars from 2011 to 2012.
As we go through 2012, may we be a people filled with Hope, and may our
churches be places of Hope to a desperate world. Many of you remember 2010,
when we did GPS (God’s Plan for Sharing) with a door to door campaign inviting
people to our churches for Easter Sunday. This year, we are participating in the
second phase of GPS, Hope.FinditHere, by asking our churches to sponsor
Attractional Events to reach out to the lost and unchurched in their communities.
Our Evangelism Committee has mapped out a very simple and realistic challenge
for our churches. This challenge provides the opportunity for people to find Hope
through our churches. May the Lord bless us with a fruitful year for His name and glory.

Hope.FinditHere Using Attractional Events
*An Attractional Event is a relational door to your community that provides a great
opportunity to share the gospel with lost people.
*An Attractional Event should be intentional, well-planned, with a biblically-based
gospel presentation.
Suggested GPS Challenge For CBA Churches in 2012
~Do four Attractional Events (includes VBS & Revival) with one event being done during
the March-April National Media Campaign.
~Do at least one Attractional Event suggested to be done during the March 1 – April 30

As we go through our various family and church gatherings in celebrating Christmas, I
pray that we will all take time to reflect upon and remember what our celebration is all
about. May we read the Christmas story again and hear afresh the angelic proclamation:
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David,
a Savior,
which is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:11
This verse reminds us that God gave the greatest gift ever: the gift of His Son. In giving this gift,
God made it possible for everyone to enter into a personal relationship with Him, have their sins
forgiven, and know that Heaven will be their eternal home--this is the true message and meaning
of Christmas. What an indescribably wonderful and gracious gift we have been given.
From our family, to the family of the Cherokee Baptist Association,
may you have a Merry Christmas
and a safe and Happy New Year.
It is a blessing to serve with you and I look forward to what God has in store for us in 2012.
Blessings to you,
Bro. Wendell
